The Post Office

e-Mail

The post office in the market town of Kirkbymoorside has been here in Ryedale, North Yorkshire, at 25 Market Place, for at least 135 years and is proud of its record of service to the community. The business is a sub post office which means that it is privately owned by the postmaster (usually) who has a contract with Post Office Counters Ltd to provide premises and services on their behalf to the general public during agreed opening hours. This office also has a Royal Mail sorting office attached with 12 delivery rounds.

WARNING

Without a local post office the main source of cash in the town would be gone. This would adversely affect all the other small businesses in the community causing many to either cut back or worse, close. By drawing your Pension, Benefit, or Family Allowance from your local post office you keep alive more than just the post office but many other small shops and businesses. In other words your community.
