It is of growing concern that trade and services in town are meeting greater difficulties in competing with larger centres that are only a car journey away.
In common with other rural centres such as ours long established services are being lost due to under usage.
One hundred years ago we had saddlers, clog makers, china dealers and blacksmiths but where are they now! The answer is simple. Try shopping locally before dashing off to get your goods 25 miles away. You will probably get friendlier service and you will save yourselves from having to join all that traffic. |
